Meetings and Events for 2017-18
LENDING LIBRARY POT LUCK
Monday, August 28th at 6:00 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, Columbus Georgia
A big Hello to All and a reconvening of our Columbus, Georgia, area Organics. In this opening meeting of the 2017-18 year, we will meet for a
pot luck dinner (main dish provided by Trinity, everyone please bring sides) and listen to Adleyn and Aesook give us a recap of their trip to
Germany during which they will see and hear organs played by the great master of the instrument, J.S. Bach.
Lending Library Contributions
Barbara Acker-Mills is spearheading the formation of an Organ Repitoire Lending Library which will be assembled and available at Trinity
Episcopal Church. If you have duplicates of organ music or a pile (large or small) of organ pieces you would like to purge from your personal
library, please bring them to this meeting.

BAROQUE BUT NOT BACH ORGAN CONCERT (Open to the Public)
Sunday, September 10 at 4:00 pm in the Rivercenter's Legacy Hall, Columbus, Georgia
David Page requested a program of North German music, but because Johann Sebastian normally overshadows all other composers of the region
and the era, he asks that we put the brakes on the Bach for this program and give some other guys a nod. If you have a favorite piece of baroque
organ literature that is not specifically German, that's okay too, but please choose your pieces ASAP and let Joseph and Aesook know what you
plan to play.

4th ANNUAL HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR ORGAN CONCERT (Open to the Public)
Monday, October 30th, at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary of Trininty Episcopal Church, Columbus, Georgia
Reception to follow in the Parish Hall (Chapter members please bring cookies and finger treats)

A lovely afternoon of scripture and music as three (to be determined) of our area church organists, their priests/pastors, and their choirs present
four seasons of the Liturgical Year. Each of the three churches represented will give musical and scriptural offerings from the seasons of
CHRISTMAS, EPIPHANY, and LENT. Each season will open with an organ solo, followed by scripture readings, a seasonal choral anthem, and
finish with a congregational hymn. EASTER, the finale season, will be offered by all churches en masse.
